Staff noted two local firms informed the city they would not submit quotes. Council moved to take two quotes under advisement—one from Schmidt and one from Mariner/Mariner’s—and the motion carried by voice vote.
Council members asked clarifying questions about the 100-gallon specification and whether the alternate on-demand unit would meet needs; staff said they would consult with legal and continue research before final selection.
