On March 5 the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Fort Lee voted to move into closed session. The motion, “On motion by Councilman Cervieri seconded by Councilman Suh,” was approved unanimously and the closed portion ran until 7:33 P.M.; the open work session resumed at 7:39 P.M.
The minutes list the topics for confidential discussion as personnel matters (building, community center, public works, health, police and recreation departments) and several legal matters, including affordable housing; draft redevelopment plans for 453–459 Main Street and 2010–2018 Fletcher Avenue; Little League Field; Redevelopment Areas 5 and 11; tax foreclosures; Doktor litigation; and Parking Authority contracts. The minutes state that closed-session minutes “may be disclosed to the public when the Mayor and Council has determined that the need for confidentiality has been satisfied.”
