Stormwater board reopens Lions Club Park storm-sewer bids after no responses

The Stormwater Management Board voted unanimously Aug. 10 to reissue the bid packet for the Lions Club Park storm-sewer project after staff said no bids were received under the original timeline.
"We're gonna send out a whole new bid packet," said Speaker 5, reporting that earlier time constraints discouraged bidders and that staff would solicit contractors including ProShot, National Gunite and Granite Inliner. Board members agreed to start the procurement again and to open bids at the board's next meeting.
Why it matters: the storm-sewer work at Lions Club Park is intended to fix persistent drainage problems that have required contractor expertise beyond standard street-department crews. Staff described the decision as a restart of procurement, not an extension of an existing contract, and said they would remove the previous time constraint to encourage more submissions.
The motion to requote and re-bid the Lions Club Park package passed 3–0. Staff said the team will also approach Advanced rehabilitation and other firms that have done similar lining work for municipal utilities.
