HLC updates work plan: cemetery project delayed to 2027, surveys and heritage-tree application pending

Commissioners reviewed the 2026–27 work plan. Speaker 1 confirmed the cemetery project had been deferred: "delayed till 2027." The group planned windshield surveys to be done in the fall when trees are bare (November suggested) and assigned drivers/spotters for neighborhood canvassing.
Chair (speaker 2) said she has contacted Brian regarding a heritage-tree application and is awaiting his response; she will follow up in September. Design-review education letters will be circulated as scheduled and the commission confirmed other planned items, including material for a library heritage display and other outreach.
