City Administrator Brian Bullock presented a proposal from Big Sky Fireworks showing a 15% price increase over the prior year and recommended increasing the city’s contribution for the 2026 fireworks show. Bullock said he anticipates a $5,000 donation from the Kiwanis Club and will apply for a $5,000 grant from Town Pump to help offset the cost.
Taylor moved to raise the fireworks budget from $10,000 to $15,000; Dawson seconded the motion and it carried with three aye votes. Taylor said he hoped for a larger show than in previous years; Bullock will proceed with procurement steps consistent with the increased budget and expected outside contributions.
