The committee voted to establish a dedicated fund to finance a replacement or additional columbarium and to move existing niche proceeds into that fund. Patricia Lewis moved to create the fund and to transfer $5,200 from niches already sold; Kathy Favaro seconded and both motions passed unanimously.
Members discussed keeping memorial-space fees affordable. Perna described the administrative procedure: the city would collect $25 per memorial space and Jeff Nicholls, the engraver, would be paid $100; Perna would collect forms and funds and generate a claim to pay Nicholls when at least four requests were ready.
