Giulio, Dawson and Lewis sworn in; Lewis to attend via Zoom through May, Graff's 30‑day absence approved

The City Council recorded the swearing-in of Mayor Russell Giulio, Drew Dawson and Patricia Lewis. Perna administered oaths for Giulio and Dawson; Lewis had been sworn in earlier in Arizona with election-administrator approval.
Patricia Lewis stated she will remain in Arizona next month and continue to attend Council meetings by Zoom through May. Separately, Councilor Tim Graff announced he will be away from Boulder for approximately 30 days beginning Jan. 14, 2026; Drew Dawson moved to approve Graff's absence, Mike Taylor seconded and the motion carried with four aye votes as recorded in the minutes.
Why it matters: the actions set council member attendance and establish that Lewis will use telecommunication for meetings for a defined period; Graff's approved absence was recorded so meeting quorums and scheduling can be managed.
