Staff warns pedestrian work near new Costco will continue through fall; public works interviews scheduled

City staff reminded the council that while the Costco site is opening this week, pedestrian facilities and curb-line work in the area will continue through the fall. "There will be ongoing work behind the curb lines yet throughout the remainder of this fall, so please be safe, when traversing that area," the staff member said.
Staff also reminded council members of a budget meeting scheduled for 8 a.m. the next morning at the Prairie Center and noted that second-round interviews for the public works manager position are set for Thursday. No new budget approvals occurred at this meeting; the council was given scheduling and safety information for ongoing construction work.
