New Holland board awards watermain contract, hires construction observer; Well #3 tabled

The Village of New Holland Board met on Nov. 12, 2025. In routine business the board approved the secretary's and treasurer's reports, then moved through old and new business items, including awarding a watermain replacement contract and hiring an on-site construction observer.
Board members approved awarding the watermain replacement bid to Hood Construction Group and authorized Board President Dean to sign the notice of award. Later the board voted to hire Mike Burris as the watermain construction observer for $67,000. The board tabled consideration of abandoning Well #3 and noted the 2026 Motor Fuel Tax maintenance program will be considered at the December meeting.
