Council members instructed staff to add several written monthly status reports (from the manager, solicitor and engineer) to council packets and agreed to split meeting content between two monthly meetings: one for committee and council reports and the other for staff reports and financial items. The change is intended to help new council members get up to speed and to reduce weekly repetition when committees meet monthly.
Members discussed practical details of timing and submission deadlines and asked that staff coordinate so reports arrive in the packet in advance. The clerk confirmed the change and said agendas will be structured according to council’s direction going forward.
