The Lake Oswego school board authorized a $5,500,650 lump-sum contract with Fulcrum Construction to replace most of the roofs at Lake Oswego High School, including the main building and athletic building (excluding one gym already replaced and the pool/CNS building).
The presenter said the project was advertised in January, received six bids and the lowest bid came from "a company called, Fulcrum Construction." He told the board the district plans to install an SBS multi-ply roof torched to the surface, add insulation and fall-protection upgrades, and take the opportunity to seismically upgrade one gym area. "The roof that we're putting on is a 30 year roof but it's been known to last up to 50 years," the presenter said, adding staff had been patching leaks and chasing repair costs on the existing roof.
Director Gupta moved to authorize the clerk or deputy clerk to execute the contract and Director Lupton seconded; the board approved the motion by voice vote and the motion carried.
