The Lake Oswego Contract Review Board voted to authorize the clerk or deputy clerk to issue a purchase order to Apple Inc. for up to $550,000 for a staff technology device partial refresh.
Mr. Ketzler told the board the request covered primarily iPads used by classroom teachers and some staff computers in non-instructional roles, replacing devices “generally speaking, [that] are 6 to 7 years old or older.” He said Apple products are treated as a sole-source purchase under Oregon procurement codes, and that the $550,000 request slightly exceeded the district’s detailed estimate of about $541,000.
Director Wallin moved the authorization and Director Lupton seconded the motion; the board approved it by voice vote and the motion carried. The item will be purchased from the district’s 2021 bond measure funds, staff said.
