Administrator Hill presented two change orders—Superior Mechanical #3 and Timm’s Trucking #3—to address water intrusion risks at the Fire Hall and to install backflow prevention and an additional valve to prevent floodwater from entering the drain tile under the facility.
Hill said the measures are preventative steps to protect City infrastructure if high‑water events occur. Councilmember Dave Wollin moved and Tim Smith seconded approval of both change orders; the motions carried 5-0.
City Engineer Femrite and staff will finalize the final pay estimate and return to the council with cost reconciliation for the project close‑out.
