Vail requested well improvements at White-Water Creek Park ($5,000) and suggested fundraising or sponsorship for new banners and hardware; Hiller estimated $10,000 to replace worn banners and hardware for 21 poles (the city currently has 18). "The City currently has 18 banners, but 21 are needed. This has an estimated cost of $10,000.00," Hiller said. Vail also proposed leveling and land improvements for the southern portion of White-Water Park (est. $20,000) and noted any work would need to be ADA-compliant. Hiller asked for pea rock and fill at Lions and Oak Park playgrounds (approx. $5,000 for both).
Council and staff discussed grant opportunities to offset costs and engineering concerns about potential settling at the proposed land-improvement site; Mayor Conlin referenced engineer advice on lowering entrance and exit grades to mitigate settling risks.
