The Waterville City Council adopted Resolution 2025R-023 to permit an expansion of Scott's Campground, with four conditions listed in the finding of facts.
Administrator Teresa Hill told the council that staff recommended approval and that the Department of Natural Resources had agreed on what would be classified as the campground access road and on required elevation standards. "The recommendation was made to allow the expansion with the four conditions listed in the finding of facts," Hill said during the meeting. Councilmember Dave Wollin moved to adopt the resolution; Councilmember Tim Smith seconded and the motion carried 5-0.
The decision was made during a special meeting and came with no recorded dissent. The council took the vote as a standalone agenda item, formalizing the conditional-use approval and setting the documented conditions that must be met before expansion activities proceed.
