Hellertown council swears in members and elects 2026 leadership

Newly sworn council members took the oath of office during Hellertown’s Jan. 5 reorganization meeting, affirming to support the U.S. and Commonwealth constitutions and to discharge their duties with fidelity. A judge administered the oath and multiple members recited their names as they were sworn in; on the record the mayor and assembled members welcomed the newly sworn officials.
The council then reorganized its leadership. A council member moved to nominate Lindley Salt for council president; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. The council likewise nominated and approved Larry O'Donnell as council vice president. Members congratulated the officers and noted committee assignments would be decided and publicized following the meeting.
