Los Lunas honors longtime newsletter producer Sandy Schauer on retirement

Mayor Charles Griego opened the July 23 Board of Trustees meeting by recognizing Sandy Schauer for about 30 years of service to the Village of Los Lunas and presenting her with a commemorative plaque.
Schauer reflected that she began working with the Village approximately 30 years ago alongside former Village Administrator Louie Huning and helped develop the Village newsletter to provide local information not always covered by the newspaper. Council members praised her contributions to the Library Board and adult literacy and English as a Second Language programs and wished her well in retirement.
