Staff advised that the two on-street spaces are specifically named in a borough ordinance and therefore cannot be removed without council authorization; the pastor said the church already provides two handicapped spaces in its lot and plans to expand lot parking by roughly 10 spaces. A council member moved to authorize removal, the motion was seconded and carried.
Council and staff discussed practical timing (ground and paint conditions for blacking out lines) and noted the change may require an update to the ordinance once details are finalized.
