The Franklin County Commission approved five commission orders on routine business and technology purchases and then moved to public comment.
Commissioner (12) moved to approve commission order 2026-207—an agreement with IDMA to provide identity and security services for the sheriff's office— and Commissioner (14) seconded; the chair called for the ayes and announced the motion carried. The commission then approved 2026-208, another IDMA agreement to add a fingerprint device for the sheriff's office, and 2026-209, accepting a quote for SOP policy editing services for the county's 911 communications. The body also approved 2026-210, authorizing the naming of a county road, and 2026-211, the consent agenda containing the clerk's and building-department fees for July and collector charges for March–June.
The approvals were recorded by voice vote; the chair stated motions were seconded and the commission carried each measure. No roll-call tallies with individual names were read into the record during the votes.
The chair said the items are routine steps to maintain county operations and apply the new equipment and services to sheriff and emergency services.
