The Los Lunas Village Council carried a slate of routine governance and personnel actions on June 25, including approving Resolution 26-09 accepting the Fiscal Year 2025 audit and Resolution 26-11 adopting the 2028–2032 ICIP for state submission. Council also appointed Village Administrator Gregory Martin as voting delegate to the New Mexico Municipal League annual conference and Library Director Cynthia Shetter as alternate.
Following an executive session held under NMSA 1978, Section 10-15-1(H), the council voted unanimously to approve several hiring recommendations from Mayor Charles Griego: Reynaldo Carrillo (Division Chief of Emergency Management & Fire Prevention/Fire Marshal); Cheryl Luna (DWI Compliance Coordinator); Nikkiah Sanchez (Permit Technician); Leona Vigil (Utility Billing Specialist); three Utility Billing Clerks (transcript lists Alyssa Riel/Reil, Amber Olguin, Meloyde Tenorio); Manny Torres (Lead Construction Inspector); and Jason Baca (Streets Laborer). Council also approved the June 11, 2026 meeting minutes and adjourned at 7:45 PM.
