Commissioner Smith praised the facility's role in custody and rehabilitation, saying the staff work with "people who are in their care, custody, and control, and as a corrections facility, they are there to help correct people and make them a productive part of society." Commissioners Jocelyn Cramer and James Shook also thanked staff for work that is often unseen and for around-the-clock service.
The board voted unanimously to adopt the proclamation on a motion by Commissioner Smith, seconded by Commissioner Shook. No further formal actions were recorded under this agenda item.
