City Administrator Rian Hofstad reported that the extractor and dryer grant had been approved: the dryer has been installed and the washer is expected to arrive shortly. The department received 15 pagers, which came in $330 under budget.
Hofstad requested approval of a replacement garage door opener for the fire hall per a Saints to Lakes quote for $1,650; Council Member Cimenski moved to approve the purchase, seconded by Council Member Sowada, and the motion carried unanimously. Hofstad also requested approval for a leave of absence for First Responder Chelsea Sasse from July 9, 2026 through Sept. 28, 2026; Council approved the leave (motion by Verley, seconded by Lanners).
The minutes record the approvals and the grant status but do not include detailed operational timelines for the installed equipment or how the temporary absence will be staffed.
