Parents group urges limits on screen time, warns of generative AI impacts on early learning

The superintendent later addressed technology work underway — an audit of student technology time, an app-approval workflow, and the district’s layered filtering system — and said the district is exploring whether elementary sites could use a white-list-only network while retaining broader access for secondary students. Board members pressed on implementation details, auditing timelines and how assessment requirements constrain removal of devices for testing.
