The commissioner of public health and safety presented the police activity report for July 28–August 10: "We had, for total numbers of calls, we had 375. Case reports were 36. Total subjects arrested were 10," the commissioner said, and added the department issued 63 citations and 83 warnings during that period.
The commissioner praised the police and fire departments for their response to recent severe weather and thanked officers and firefighters for their efforts. The report will remain part of routine public-safety monitoring and council members asked that operations continue to be tracked and reported at future meetings.
