Resident urges council review of sewer minimums and tax-labeling discrepancies

"I've been informed there's no reason for it not to keep going up at this point. So I'm very concerned about how it's being done," the resident said, urging the committee and economic development staff to explore options that might alleviate pressure on homeowners on fixed incomes. Staff invited the resident to email details so they can follow up with Jacob and Maine Water.
Committee members agreed the committee should review sewer billing practices and explore whether more nuanced tiers or relief programs could be adopted for homeowners who face rising combined tax and sewer bills.
