The Delhi Charter Township Planning Commission on Aug. 10 recommended that the Township Board adopt Zoning Ordinance No. 39.168, an amendment to Section 6.9 of the township zoning ordinance governing signs and advertising structures. The commission opened a public hearing at 6:35 p.m.; no members of the public spoke on the proposal.
Tracy LC Miller, Township Manager and Director of Community Development, presented the staff memorandum and outlined the proposed text changes to the sign regulations. Orlando Todd moved and Fredric Ford seconded the motion to recommend adoption to the Township Board; the roll-call vote was eight in favor, none opposed, with Commissioner Patrick Brown recorded absent.
The recommendation forwards the ordinance language to the Township Board for final action. The Planning Commission’s motion and the staff materials note the change as Zoning Ordinance No. 39.168 and identify the affected subsection as Section 6.9 (Signs and Advertising Structures).
