Vernal Airport moves forward on $3.9M ramp reconstruction and studies electrification options

Campbell said passenger enplanements remain strong and praised Contour Airlines for improved responsiveness; he also said Contour increased its advertising contribution from about $45,000 to $75,000 annually, reducing the city’s internal advertising burden.
Campbell proposed redirecting approximately $74,680 in hangar utility savings and hangar-revenue proceeds toward airport electrification infrastructure to support future electric aircraft charging and to better position the airport for state and federal grant opportunities. He recommended transferring about $950,000 in unrestricted reimbursements into a designated airport reserve to smooth cash-flow impacts from federal reimbursement timing and requested that roughly $71,000 from prior hangar projects remain reserved for future aviation development.
