Tyler (transcribed also as Tyra) Harris presented a Clean Air Fund grant request from the Ojai Valley Green Coalition to develop on-site educational programming on regenerative gardening, farming, waste reduction, and home composting. The advisory committee recommended awarding $15,840 of the requested $25,440, and staff presented the grant for board approval.
Harris noted the Clean Air Fund is a permanent endowment established by the 3M corporation in 1992, managed by the Ventura County Community Foundation; the fund balance was $766,308 as of Aug. 11, 2026, and $39,179 was available for grants. The board moved and approved the $15,840 award by voice vote; staff will administer the grant and ensure contract requirements are met.
