Greensboro City promotes REACH professional development day for employees on Aug. 26

Patricia Baker, a consultant with the Organizational Effectiveness and Development (OED) department for Greensboro City, said the third annual REACH professional development day will take place Aug. 26 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Greensboro Coliseum Special Event Center, Hall B. "It's just not only a professional development day for executive leaders, but it's about for every single employee within the city of Greensboro," Baker said.
Baker described REACH as an evolving, citywide effort that began in 2022 and has grown each year in participation and scope. She said the program now has an allocated budget (unlike the first two years), offers professional headshots and a range of workshops, and brings together internal departments and external partners to deliver content to employees. Baker urged staff to register by Friday, Aug. 14, while noting some workshops can fill before the deadline and offering email help for late registrations.
