Ali Ghassemi, the district's executive officer, reported that APCD staff participated in the Cabrillo Neighborhood National Night Out in Oxnard on Aug. 4 and engaged "approximately 45 community members," sharing program information in English and Spanish.
Ghassemi said the staff discussed district programs including a lawn-and-garden equipment exchange, the vehicle buyback program, and the district's "MyOx North Air black carbon monitoring web page," where residents can review monitoring information. He praised staff efforts to make programs and air-quality information more accessible and said divisions continue to carry out core responsibilities effectively and efficiently.
