Milnor City Council voted 4–1 on July 13 to authorize payment of a $390 invoice from Swede’s Plumbing for sewer work performed for resident Jose Romero.
The minutes state Romero "had to have his sewer cleaned out and had asked if the city could pay for it, due to his sewer line being connected to his neighbor’s, which was causing the issue." Denise Ferderer moved the motion to have the city pay the bill and Alan Boyer seconded; the motion carried with four members voting aye and one member voting nay. The minutes do not identify which council member voted against the payment.
