Milnor City Council convened July 13 and moved through routine business, approving the meeting agenda and the June minutes before addressing reports and votes.
The council accepted the 2025 Drinking Water Quality Report as completed and accepted by the North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality Drinking Water Program. It also approved a purchase of a new cooling unit for the city shop from Crossroads Electric for $6,300 and multiple building permits for local residents. The council approved the Stock Grower’s Bank pledge of securities for the period ended June 30, 2026 and authorized payment of the accounts presented, including a $13,656.48 invoice to Heritage Insurance and multiple payroll entries.
Sheriff Travis Paeper reviewed June activity, saying the month was "busy, but with nothing too out of the ordinary." Council discussed tree removals and code enforcement letters for junk vehicles. The board set its regular August and preliminary budget meeting for Monday, Aug. 10, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. and adjourned later that evening.
