The Dallas County Conservation Board on July 14 approved a $16,890 contract with Harland Concrete LLC to install a concrete pad and sidewalk for a new shelter at Voas Nature Area. Three quotes were reviewed: Harland Concrete LLC ($16,890.00), Concrete Impressions ($17,781.00), and Ritter Concrete Construction ($20,776.00). Director Curt Cable said staff are preparing the rough grade on site in advance of the work.
Rebecca Hillmer moved to approve the Harland quote and Dave Kraayenbrink seconded; all members present voted "aye," and the motion carried. The contract covers a 24'x36' concrete pad and a 5'x75' concrete sidewalk for the shelter; staff will proceed with scheduling and site prep.
