Omak amends pool rental fees, pool to open June 19; Council to revisit Transportation Benefit District

The Omak City Council approved Resolution 48-2026 on June 15 to amend the 2026 fee schedule for pool rentals: the one-hour and four-hour blocks were removed and the two-hour block will remain at $150. Public Works Director Wayne Beetchenow said there is nothing preventing someone from renting the pool for longer than two hours and that all rentals will be processed online through the Parks system.
Beetchenow also told the council the city pool will be open by June 19, 2026. Separately, Councilmember Michelle Gaines said staff and Council should revisit forming a Transportation Benefit District (TBD) following adoption of the STIP; City Administrator Todd McDaniel said he would gather council committee members to discuss TBD options.
