Omak approves sewer and stormwater rehabilitation contract and amends consulting agreement for administration

On June 1 the Council approved Resolution No. 42-2026 to award the sanitary sewer and stormwater rehabilitation project and later approved Resolution No. 43-2026 to authorize Amendment No. 8 with Gray & Osborne, Inc. for contract administration of that same project. Public Works Director Wayne Beetchenow told the Council the project will use a cured‑in‑place method to repair sewer lines and storm outfalls under the levee and confirmed the work is included in the 2026 budget. Member Michelle Gaines moved both items, with Member Nattalie Cariker seconding; both motions passed unanimously.
Member Dave Womack asked specifically whether the project was included in the 2026 budget; Beetchenow confirmed it was. The Council did not record additional public comment on the project during the meeting. The amendment to Gray & Osborne was described as administrative in scope and tied to the contract administration needs of the rehabilitation work.
