The Omak City Council on June 15 approved Resolution 45-2026 to purchase a 930 Caterpillar wheel loader. Public Works Director Wayne Beetchenow told the council the acquisition is included in the 2026 budget and will replace a 25-year-old loader that will be declared surplus.
Member Steve Clark moved and Member Michelle Gaines seconded the resolution; the Council voted and approved the purchase. Council discussion focused on intended uses and the disposition of the existing machine.
