Mayor Cindy anayange Gagné opened the May 18 meeting by presenting a Certificate of Appreciation to longtime City Attorney Mick Howe and reading the plaque recognizing "fifty years of exceptional service to the City of Omak." The presentation drew a standing ovation from attendees.
Howe addressed the Council and expressed gratitude for his time with the city. The recognition was part of the Council's opening remarks before the night’s regular agenda proceeded.
