Omak adopts Six-Year Transportation Improvement Program; city to apply for TIB funds in August

The Omak City Council on June 15 adopted the Six-Year Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) for 2027–2032. Public Works Director Wayne Beetchenow told the council there were no changes to the program projects but that Gray & Osborne, Inc. updated project cost estimates; City Administrator Todd McDaniel noted the STIP must be adopted annually and filed with the Washington State Department of Transportation.
Member Dave Womack moved and Member Steve Clark seconded the resolution to adopt the STIP. Beetchenow said the city will apply to the Transportation Improvement Board in August and expects to learn which projects receive funding in November; he cautioned that the notification timeline might not align with the city's budget schedule.
