Court Services reports community service hours; Kay County 4‑H members recognized

Donna Parker of Oklahoma Court Services presented the July 2026 community service report. She reported 12 new community service clients, 30 regular community service clients, 0 sanction community service hours completed, 412.65 total community service hours completed, and nine offender completions. Projects during the month included trash and tree cleanup at Ponca City Disc Golf, meal prep and cleanup for Friendship Feast, animal care at Northern Oklahoma Humane Society, dusting and cleaning at Habitat Restore, and mowing and weed eating at Camp McFadden. Upcoming projects named included Tonkawa Cemetery, Ponca City Lake, Newkirk Public Library, Blackwell Cemetery, and New Life Trails.
Blakelee Pugh, OSU Extension Educator 4‑H, recognized Lindsey Vap and MaCaila Schneeberger for earning second place at the Northeast District Food Showdown and qualifying to advance to the national competition in Dallas, Texas. Pugh also recognized Cash Tripp for being elected Northeast District Representative. The board congratulated the students for their achievements.
