The Madison Plan Commission approved a staff recommendation to convey a 50‑foot wide strip of remnant land to Dane County to provide clean title for airport improvements.
Planning staff said the parcel appears to have been intended as part of the 1974 conveyance of the airport to Dane County but was omitted from the legal description. The county currently owns and operates the airport and has improvements within the strip; it has requested clean title to construct additional airport improvements.
Commissioner Solheim moved approval of Legistar 94181 and Alderfield seconded. With no public speaker present and no objection, the commission approved the conveyance by unanimous consent and will forward the recommendation to the Common Council.
