Reappointed members sworn in at State Board of Elections meeting
Summary
Judge Patrick Kelly administered the oath to reappointed members of the Illinois State Board of Elections during the July 1 meeting; members present recited the oath to uphold federal and state constitutions and discharge board duties.
At the start of the July meeting the board recognized reappointed members and the Hon. Patrick Kelly, retired circuit court judge, administered the oath of office.
During the oath members present recited, in part, "I will faithfully discharge my duties as a member of the Illinois state board of elections to the best of my ability." Katherine McCrory was explicitly recognized among those present; other reappointed members were also asked to stand for the oath.
Board members thanked Judge Kelly after the oath and returned to regular business.
