The Wake County Board of Commissioners approved a series of appointments and reappointments at its Dec. 1 meeting and the clerk summarized additional upcoming vacancies.
Clerk Yvonne Gilliard said the Energy Advisory Commission will have a reappointment of Mary Ginger Scoggins; the Fire Commission reported resignations and role changes, including a nomination of Tim Herman as chair and Larry Ward as East Region Primary Representative. The clerk also announced several vacancies and recommendations, including a recommendation by Commissioner Susan Evans for TJ Collie to fill a GoTriangle trustee vacancy and a recommendation from Commissioner Tara Waters for Camilla Spence to fill a Housing Authority vacancy.
The board moved to accept the appointments en bloc; the motion passed. The clerk also reviewed appointments and vacancies currently being considered for January, including reappointments to historic boards and advisory committees.
