Board members discussed road bonds to cover potential damage. The applicant reported the township road foreman measured 1.3 miles to the end of the paved road and quoted a paved‑section bond of $16,250; the applicant later relayed a total bond figure of $21,650 and a township road number (T404) provided by staff. The Chair reminded the applicant that if the project lasts more than a year he must submit annual updates under the zoning ordinance and that the board can set permit conditions, including hours and mitigation measures.
No state agency representative was present to confirm DEP or reclamation procedures during the hearing; the applicant said he could provide contact information for the Department of Mine Reclamation.
The board recorded the testimony and will issue a written decision within 45 days.
