Emily Myers, membership manager for Girl Scouts North Carolina Coastal Pines, accepted the proclamation and thanked the board. "My name is Emily Myers. I'm the membership manager... From troop 50091... We do everyday build girls of courage, confidence, and character," she said, noting the organization’s local membership and community activities.
The board approved the proclamation by voice vote and commissioners recognized the troop that led the Pledge of Allegiance earlier in the meeting.
