Board OKs Quality Custom Construction for concrete work tied to repaving

The board approved Resolution R26-36 (6-0) authorizing the City Administrator to enter into an agreement with Quality Custom Construction for concrete services related to the city’s pavement program. The contractor will perform curb and sidewalk work on roads slated for repaving and any other listed concrete needs; councilors noted this is the same contractor used last year.
Alderman Rick Knox asked staff to look at a localized problem on Kirby where water is entering a seam and asked that it be included in upcoming repair work. The resolution passed by unanimous voice vote and staff will include concrete repairs coordinated with repaving projects.
