Advanced Asphalt awarded 2026 pavement maintenance contract

The Board of Aldermen approved Resolution R26-34 authorizing the City Administrator to execute an agreement with Advanced Asphalt Paving & Concrete, LLC for the 2026 Pavement Maintenance Program. City staff told the board Advanced Asphalt submitted the lowest and best bid and that the project list focuses on roads already included in the city’s capital improvement program (CIP).
Alderman Kyle Sole asked whether Foxtail was included in this year’s program; staff said it was not, noting Foxtail remains under consideration for future inventory and planning. City Administrator Ken Murphy said the recent road inventory will inform next year’s planning and the awarded work will move CIP roads forward this season. The resolution passed by a 6-0 voice vote.
