After resignations, Erie zoning board names Miss King chair and Jeff Johnson vice chair

Following the resignation of previous chair Laura Gutchen, the Erie Zoning Hearing Board elected Miss King as chair and Jeff Johnson as vice chair during an organizational portion of its Aug. 11 meeting; both seats were filled by voice vote.
After completing the day’s hearings on Aug. 11, the Erie Zoning Hearing Board moved to organizational business following the resignation of long‑time chair Laura Gutchen.
Board counsel read the resignation into the record and members proceeded to nominate and elect a new chair. "I would nominate Selena for that," one member said, and Miss King accepted the nomination. The board then elected Jeff Johnson as vice chair after a nomination and second. Both leadership changes were approved by voice vote among the four members present.
The board announced Miss King will serve as chair moving forward and Jeff Johnson will serve as vice chair. No additional positions were filled during the meeting and the board adjourned.
The organizational votes were recorded on the Aug. 11 meeting minutes and will be reflected in future agendas.
