Board approves consent agenda, three ordinances and multiple resolutions

The Village of Davis Junction administrative board met April 22 and approved three consent items, including March 25 meeting minutes, a bills payable warrant list totaling $113,891.24 and $100 in outside meeting pay for elected officials. Trustee (speaker 2) moved to place items 1–3 on the consent agenda; the board voted in favor and then adopted the consent agenda.
The board also voted on three ordinances: Ordinance No. 25‑11 corrected an apparent reversal of R‑1 and R‑2 zoning definitions in the 2018 code; Ordinance No. 25‑12 revised the code to make residential cultivation (vegetable gardens) a permitted use in R‑3 to comply with state legislation; and Ordinance No. 25‑13 granted final plat approval for the Gateway Center subdivision along Illinois Route 72. Several resolutions were approved as well, including a contract waiver and acceptance for an Edson Road chip seal project, purchase of water‑plant tanks and scales, and ratification of an extension to an Illinois Department of Natural Resources grant for park work. "The grant is for 600,000 with a matching 600,000 for us," staff member (speaker 4) said of the park grant.
