Shakespeare in the Park returns July 8 in Friendship Park; company to perform two plays in one evening

Maris Porter, presenter for Southlake City, announced the return of the grassroots Shakespeare company with a double feature on July 8 at Friendship Park: "Shakespeare in the Park continues tomorrow night, July 8, at Friendship Park. The grassroots Shakespeare company is in town for these. The reviews of the 1st 1 were outstanding." She said performances run roughly 60–75 minutes and urged attendees to bring chairs and picnics.
Porter said the company presents plays in an original practice style without extravagant sets and noted a second performance night in August (Macbeth at Nature Park on Aug. 12). She thanked local sponsors including the neighborhood Walmart manager, Anthony, and the County Ramp Grant for supporting the series.
