KPPA committee forwards several regulations for board approval; board adopts package

Nathan, chairing the ad hoc regulation committee, told the board the committee met Sept. 16 and forwarded a package of regulatory updates for full-board approval. Items included changes to trustee-election rules (105 KAR 4:144.5), reciprocity program updates (105 KAR 1020) to reflect statutory changes, installment-purchase procedures (105 KAR 1150), rollovers/transfers (105 KAR 1300/1320/1345) and an update to collection of accounts under $1,000 by next of kin.
Nathan said most revisions were intended to codify current practice or adjust deadlines and forms to align with statute; staff confirmed the changes are not substantive alterations to how KPPA operates. The board moved to approve the package and adopted the motion by voice vote.
Board members thanked committee staff for moving a sizeable body of regulations efficiently through review.
